First visit
What to Expect at a Head Spa
If you have never had a head spa, here is how a visit to Halo unfolds, so you can arrive knowing exactly what is ahead and let go from the first minute.
Before you arrive
Come as you are. There is no need to wash your hair first; the treatment includes a deep cleanse, and unwashed hair gives Emily a truer picture of your scalp. Wear something comfortable and loose, and leave jewellery at home if you can, since it all comes off for the treatment. Allow the full time and try not to book anything straight afterwards.
The consultation
If you have booked the Halo Scalp Reset, it opens with an in-depth consultation with Emily about your scalp, your hair, and the things that sit behind hair health, including sleep, stress and nutrition. You leave with a tailored treatment plan. The Pure Scalp Reset skips this and moves straight to the treatment room.
In the treatment room
The room is quiet, warm and softly lit. Sound and aromatherapy run through the whole session. Your scalp is deeply cleansed and exfoliated, halo water therapy follows, and a nourishing mask is worked through from root to ends. Then the massage: neck, shoulders, hands and scalp. Most people describe this part as floating away.
The finish
Every treatment ends with a professional blow wave, so you leave with your hair styled rather than damp.
Afterwards
Expect to feel calm and a little slow, in the best way. Your scalp will feel clean and light and your hair soft. If you had the consultation, your plan will suggest how often to come back. Many clients settle into a visit every four to eight weeks.
Head spa treatments support scalp health and relaxation. They are not a medical treatment. If you have sudden or patchy hair loss, or a scalp that is very sore or inflamed, please also see your GP.
